CAROL ANNE SLATER
worked in the NHS before starting to paint full time. She started a degree in Fine Art but found it too restrictive so decided to progress her own style by setting up her studio which she has found liberating.

Her style is contemporary, loose and expressive, and she has a fascination with the English countryside and its coastal shores. Carol Anne has recently developed a series of paintings of London scenes including St Paul’s and the Thames.

Influenced by the Masters such as Turner and Picasso, her work expresses an energy that is distinctly contemporary. She has produced a large body of work and feels honoured to be in the position of sharing her paintings with others, and to have her work hanging both nationally and internationally.
