ZED ZED
Zed Zed (Zdravko Zed Talijan) was born and raised in former Jugoslavia and studied Political Sciences at the University of Sarajevo. He worked as a journalist before moving to France, then came to West Sussex where he now works as an artist.

“In my work, I like to look for the point where abstracts and realities meet,” says Zed.

“In that undefined space a visual freedom is created that plays between different interpretations. That stillness is very often awakened with the movement of smoke, cloud and steam, which is a recognised motif in my work. Painting, I feel, is a way of replacing concepts usually lost in translation; a way of talking. My art is a blend of cultural backgrounds that create a new visual language.”
